PHOTOS EXPLAINING EVERYTHING
The photo you are viewing showing the good welcoming moment with our beneficiary families when our friends first visited kiguma village. You will be welcomed with great smiles and hospitality in this community.
It is always love and hospitality that welcomes you to this village. Kids are just adorable. Though they speak little English but they do show signs of love and hospitality.
Sharing a moment of laughs is the only way to be together in spirit and friendship. Our dear friends Shaun and Jessica are great people and down to earth.
They at least try to speak the local language, teach the little ones songs…..
The Above photo shows the Drying rack for plates and sauce pans, in the past the community used to dry their utensils on the ground.
This was a major cause of hygiene related diseases in this community.
We use simple raw materials which are readily got from the swamps. They re-grow when cut and this has no harm to the environment. On the other hand the community would not afford to buy the artificial materials to do such.
A couple of trainings have been carried to many homes so that preventable infections and good sanitation practices put in place.
Families are always encouraged to dry and wipe their utensils with dry clean towel.
