HESAI Organisation is based in Kabarole areas where HIV prevalence is very high as per Uganda AIDS commission recently conducted research.

HESAI Organisation health department team led by Dr Gilbert Ategeka also conducted local/ground research to find out the cause and why prevalence rate is high compared to other parts of the country.
We came out with many measurements that can be implemented for the virus rate to steadily decrease and as we try to target the country’s 2030 HIV/AIDS goal.

We agreed to continue carrying out rapid community sensitization about the deadliest virus, encouraging them to always know their statuses by testing as well as taking medication when found positive to boost their body’s immunity system as well as keep the viral load undetectable so that they cannot spread the virus to the rest of the people in the community.

We also encourage and support them to work hard in order to eradicate poverty from their homes which is also one of the leading factor to HIV/AIDS Suge in the region as youth and women engage in prostitution looking for survival with sexual partners they aren’t sure of their statuses.
